Alternative Learning Program

McGregor Alternative Learning Program (ALP )
You can earn a high school diploma by attending the Alternative Learning Program. This highly flexible program lets students get that credit by working independently in the week between class meetings. Because classes are offered on a one-to-one basis, course work can be tailored to meet individual needs.
Students meet with instructors to go over work they helped select and which they complete at their own pace. Then assignments roughly equal to one week of school work are given. Unless the work is done and the student sits down with the teacher to process it, no credit is given - this is not a correspondence course.
Students may be at any reading level. Anyone 15 years old or older who meets the criteria is encouraged to go to the M.O.R.E. Building across from the McGregor School.
Students interested in enrolling at the ALP program must first speak with the Counselor, Ms. Polkinghorne at 218-768-2111 ext. 5137 to get signed up before attending.
